Cecelia started her career at the Caxton group of local newspapers in 1994. After two years successfully planning and buying print media for various brands she moved to property management, for a year, and then broadened her media exposure at M-Net, as assistant to the marketing manager of Super-Track.
In 1999, Cecelia found her niche with Primedia Broadcasting. The stations she worked with included Radio 702, Cape Talk, Highveld Stereo and KFM.Cecelia’s ability to take a product and creatively find solutions to create awareness for her clients made her a vital part of the Primedia sales force.
In 2005, Cecelia moved to Mpumalanga. She was approached by the Kagiso Group to establish, train and manage a sales team for the first local, commercial radio station in the province, Mpower. Cecelia headed up the sales team for two-and-a-half years, successfully growing revenue and market share in Mpumalanga.
Cecelia saw the need for a media specialist in Mpumalanga and formed an alliance with Media Cubed. Within two years the business demanded a bigger buying house and Cecelia became an associate of The MediaShop, successfully planning and buying media for a wide variety of local clients. Since its conception in 2010, Media Match has grown from offering only media buying and planning to a fully-fledged consultancy for various clients throughout South Africa.
